Surgery Of Jonathan’s Aide Successful, READY For EFCC Probe

Reports have it that Kingsley Kuku, an aide to former president, Goodluck Jonathan, has been discharged from the Andrew Sports, Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, England where he underwent surgery.
According to Global Village Extra, some United States Hospital management staff at the hospital disclosed that the surgical operation carried out yesterday on Kuku was successful and he might be ready for probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Control (EFCC).
Ms Christina, who reportedly confirmed the development to Global Village Extra correspondent via telephone, said the exercise was done between 10 and 10: 30 am, American time (Nigerian time, 5:50pm), on the July 30.
The doctor who is in charge of surgery scheduling, said: “Yes, Mr. Kuku’ s surgery was successful and he has gone to rest for a few days before we commence therapy on him.”
When she was asked whether Kuku would be discharged immediately, Christiana said: “doctors say it would take Kuku 4 to 5 weeks before he gets better.”
EFCC had invited Kuku to answer allegations on conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and diversion of public funds in a letter with ref: CR 3000/EFCC/ABJ/EG/T7/vol.25/263 and dated July 22,
Kuku had responded to the letter, saying that he was currently in the US undergoing a surgery operation on his knee, and that he would answer the invitation in September when he recuperates.
Another aide of the former president, Gordon Obuah, was recently released by the Department of State Security (DSS), after staying in detention for about a week.
